Today the Daily Beast reported that White House advisors are “gleeful” about the shutdown, thinking it will help him because incoming Speaker Nancy Pelosi will be “forced to focus on this fight instead of the investigations.” But the Associated Press reported that the shutdown will block aid to farmers being hurt by the God-King’s trade war, and the Office of Personnel Management suggested unpaid government workers should offer to do chores for their landlords “in exchange for partial rent payments.” Do the God-King’s aides really think this strengthens their hand?
