Tonight’s question, greetings, and banter here. (More)
Today Andrew Sullivan joined the wingnut mob accusing the New York Times of racism for hiring The Verge’s Sarah Jeong, who was targeted for an alt-right smear campaign that dredged up her “counter-trolling” replies to racist and sexist attacks. Both Verge and the Times issued statements defending Jeong, but Imani Gandy offered perhaps the best defense:
Sarah Jeong is not oppressing white men.
Sarah Jeong is not part of an institution that systematically oppresses white men.
White men are not oppressed.
And in closing, please fuck off.
Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
