Tonight’s question, greetings, and banter here. (More)

Today the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau officially disbanded their advisory council of watchdog groups, with CFPB acting chair Mick Mulvaney saying he’ll form his own council including “representatives of banks that primarily serve underserved communities” … i.e.: the predatory lenders that the CFPB was designed to stop. Also, Democratic candidates showed well in yesterday’s primaries and the California races showed Democrats performing well enough to win the House in November, in no small part by coalescing enough to guarantee Democratic candidates in every competitive race. Oh, Democratic women ran strong campaigns, focusing on issues that matter to local voters, while Republicans are increasingly relying on racism and nativism – except right wing identity politics are called “culture wars”. But Democrats “didn’t look particularly impressive” in last night’s successes and Trump Is Unstoppable Because Democrats Have No Message. Doom…doom…DOOM?
