Tonight’s question, greetings, and banter here. (More)
Today the God-King fired Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, after Tillerson agreed with British intelligence that Russian operatives poisoned former double-agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter in Salisbury, England last week. The God-King has, so far, refused to blame Russia for Skripal’s attempted assassination. Also, Russian exile Nikolai Glushkov was found dead in London today, but British authorities have not yet determined a cause of death or found any links to the poisoning of Skripal. The God-King said he’ll nominate CIA Director Mike Pompeo to replace Tillerson as Secretary of State, and will nominate Bush-era torture maven Gina Haspel to head the CIA. The God-King also fired personal assistant John McEntree for unstated “security reasons,” but CNN reports the Department of Homeland Security was investigating McEntree for “serious financial crimes.” And although House Republicans said they’ll declare the God-King and Russia innocent of any collusion, House Intelligence Committee ranking member Adam Schiff told the Post that Democrats will release their own report documenting the evidence that Republicans ignored. So while Tillerson eviscerated the State Department, will this be yet another stupid mistake in preparing for negotiations with North Korea … and will Pompeo be even worse than Tillerson?
Bonus Question: Did the God-King time Tillerson’s firing to deflect attention from today’s special election in Pennsylvania?
