Tonight’s question, greetings, and banter here. (More)
Today former God-King campaign official Rick Gates pleaded guilty to conspiracy to defraud the U.S. and lying to the FBI, a day after special counsel Robert Mueller filed 25 new criminal charges against Gates and former God-King campaign chair Paul Manafort. While Manafort continues to proclaim his innocence, the charges are based in part on computer records of a business filing that Manafort emailed Gates with instructions to falsify the numbers. Mueller has now filed over 100 criminal charges against 19 individuals, including 13 Russians and 4 God-King campaign officials. Meanwhile, Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens (R) was indicted yesterday for felony invasion of privacy related after he allegedly took nude photos of a woman and threatened to publish them if she revealed their affair … and of course he said he’s being unfairly persecuted by “a reckless liberal prosecutor who uses her office to score political points.” Do you miss the good ol’ days when we didn’t need a weekly update of criminal charges against the administration or the president’s campaign staff?
