Tonight’s question, greetings, and banter here. (More)
Today on This Union Face Sunday Meet, Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi urged parents to monitor their kids’ social media contacts for portents of violence and former Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson urged citizens to “say something when they see suspicious behavior” while downplaying the fact that the FBI and local law enforcement agencies had warnings and failed to stop the Parkland, Florida high school shooter. But Rep. Ted Deutsch (D-FL) said “the world has heard” the survivors’ cries for action on guns and Rep. Carlos Curbelo (R-FL) called on his party to debate on “reasonable, common-sense gun safety laws” in the wake of the shooting. Will calls for action against gun violence vanish into the same hole as classmates’ and other citizens’ warnings about that shooter?
