Today Roy Moore went to the polls on a horsepoorly. As Heather Digby Parton put it, “American politics has become the stupidest reality show on earth. Even dumber than Storage Wars.” On the plus side, Doug Jones’ campaign reports “significant” turnout in Jefferson and Montgomery counties, both populous Democratic strongholds, but the Washington Post’s Greg Sargent breaks down the many things that must fall together for Jones to win, and CNN offers a listicle of five things to take away from tonight’s results. Alabama polls close at 8pm Eastern; will the race be decided by 9pm, or will it remain “too close to call” until late into the evening?
