Tonight’s question, greetings, and banter here. (More)
Today the God-King recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, despite objections from Pope Francis as well as Islamic and moderate Jewish leaders but with the support of Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY). Also, House Oversight Committee Ranking Member Elijah Cummings revealed that Michael Flynn promised a friend that the Obama-era sanctions on Russia would be “ripped up,” clearing the way for the friend’s business deal with Russia. And most Senate Democrats are now calling for Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) to resign amidst mounting accusations of sexual misconduct, including another today by Democratic strategist Tina Dupuy, while TIME magazine named “The Silence Breakers” – women who went public with stories of sexual harassment by powerful men – as their 2017 Persons of the Year. Would Franken’s resignation, alongside Rep. John Conyers’ resignation yesterday, help confirm Democrats as “the Party of Women?”
