Today on Sunday Meet Union This Nation, Texas Gov. Greg Abbot said the recovery cost after Hurricane Harvey may reach $180 billion, noting that Harvey affected a larger geographic area and with a larger population than Katrina, which cost $120 billion. Also, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin insists that Harvey relief and recovery funds should be tied to the debt limit ceiling bill, which many House Republicans say is a bad idea. And Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO) said “It’s not a mistake to disagree when you disagree” but “I think it’s a mistake to get in a fight with the president.” Umm … huh?
