Tonight’s question, greetings, and banter here. (More)

Today Outhouse officials kinda-sorta walked back the God-King’s threat of nuclear war with North Korea, with Politico’s Josh Dawsey reporting the general consensus was “Don’t read too much into it,” while Defense Secretary James Mattis issued a statement changing the ‘red line’ from mere threats to North Korea’s “actions.” No More Mister Nice Blog’s Steve M. still thinks the God-King’s “fire and fury” comment was penned by someone, albeit perhaps not anyone on the national security team, but the Times’ report says the God-King has used that phrase several times in meetings with aides. Are saner administration officials signaling that, in Jonathan Chait’s words, the God-King is “a weird old man who wanders in front of microphones spouting off unpredictably and without consequence?”
