Tonight’s question, greetings, and banter here. (More)

Today GOP operative Jonathan Swan said the God-King’s threats to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller led to yesterday’s leak that Mueller is investigating the God-King while the God-King howled about “witch hunts” yet again. The Washington Monthly’s Martin Longman assesses Republicans’ Faustian bargain, while Vox’s Ezra Klein notes that the God-King refuses to accept that he is creating his own problems and Hullabaloo’s Tom Sullivan argues that the God-King can’t bully his way through government the way he did in the real estate business. All of this leaves conservatives looking for ways to leash Mueller without actually firing him as Republican voters’ satisfaction plunges toward pre-inauguration lows. Did yesterday’s news that Mueller is indeed investigating the God-King change the political landscape?
