Tonight’s question, greetings, and banter here. (More)
Today the Austin American-Statesman reported that a 37-year-old man filed a lawsuit for $17.31 against a woman he dated once, because she was texting with a girlfriend during the first 15 minutes of Guardians of the Galaxy. He told her to stop texting or leave so she went home and, because she drove them to the theatre, he had to call a cab after the movie. All of this is, he claims in his suit, “a threat to civilized society.” Of course wingnut sites insist he’s right, and the movie’s director and plenty of other people on Twitter think she should be jailed. But as a profile of the plaintiff at Heavy reveals, is there no end to white men’s perpetual victimhood?
