Tonight’s question, greetings, and banter here. (More)
Today the New York Times reported that the highly-classified intelligence given to Russia by the God-King came from Israel, and Israeli sources soon corroborated that. Talking Points Memo’s Josh Marshall reminds us that Israeli intelligence feared exactly this back in January, and even the National Review’s Jonah Goldberg wonders why conservatives still take the God-King at his word. Vox’s David Roberts speculates that the God-King does things for no other reason than that he’s: “a hopeless narcissist with the attention span of a fruit fly, unable to maintain consistent beliefs or commitments from moment to moment, acting on base instinct, entirely situationally, to bolster his terrifyingly fragile ego,” and the New York Times’ David Brooks concludes that the God-King is “a guy whose thoughts are often just six fireflies beeping randomly in a jar.” Which insect metaphor best describes the God-King’s so-called thinking?
