Tonight’s question, greetings, and banter here. (More)

Today House Republicans passed the Wealthcare Act, a huge tax cut for rich people that with a ‘health care’ plan that will cover only 5% of people with preexisting conditions and gut funding for special needs care in schools. The bill will also bring back lifetime benefit limits, including for employer plans – 91% of insurance – if any state in the U.S. allows those restrictions. Oh, and it will let states and insurers designate rape, pregnancy, and post-partum depression as preexisting conditions. Will Senate Republicans stop this disaster … or pass a bill close enough to the House version that the final conference committee bill will be pretty much what passed today?
