Tonight’s question, greetings, and banter here. (More)

Today on State Nation This Sunday Meet, House Speaker Paul Ryan said Republicans want to “add some additional assistance to people in those older cohorts” through “regulatory relief to the health insurance markets to dramatically lower the price of the plan for the 50- and 60-year-olds.” But Heritage Foundation Chair Jim DeMint revealed conservatives’ real goal: to return to “the best health care system in the world” that he claims we had before the Affordable Care Act and Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AK) said the goal is to get the working poor “into market-based insurance”, while Office of Mangle the Bastards head Mick Mulvaney said “The only way to get truly universal care is to throw people in jail if they don’t have it, and we’re not going to do that” and Health and Humans Serve Us Secretary Tom Price said the “every single American will have access to affordable coverage” and the way to do that is to “drive down insurance costs.” Is their goal a ‘health care market’ that strips wealth from the ill and injured and gives it to bankruptcy creditors?
