Welcome back to Tuesday’s Tale, a weekly feature where we collaborate to write a story. Previous Tuesday’s Tales include Waitin 4 Da Go Dot and Da Window Seet. We follow the basic rules of the “Yes, And” improvisational game – accept everything written so far as part of the story, and add your own paragraph (or so) where the last addition left off – except you needn’t begin your addition with “Yes, and.” I’ll start the story….
The Great Bovinexcra tried to maintain calm. “Ver-ry, ver-ry, slee-eepy.”
“I get it,” Kristen said. “Naptime. Been ready for one since lunch.”
“You hear only the sound of my voice,” The Great Bovinexcra murmured.
“Plus the ticking of that pocket watch,” Kristen said, “and the traffic outside. But yeah, mostly your voice.”
“Yes,” The Great Bovinexcra agreed, “only my voice….”
“And it’s keeping me awake,” Kristen said.
