Just hours after acting Attorney General Sally Yates said that the Department of Justice would not defend Trump’s executive order banning Muslims from targeted countries because she was not convinced it was “lawful”, she was fired by Trump. White House press secretary Sean Spicer was quoted as saying Yates had “betrayed the Department of Justice”. She will be replaced by Dana Boente, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.
