Tonight’s question, greetings, and banter here. (More)

Today the New York Times reported that Austrian far-right Freedom Party leader Heinz-Christian Strache signed a cooperation pact with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Strache revealed on Facebook that he met with Michael Flynn, the Lapdog-elect’s new National Security Advisor, a few weeks ago at the Trump Tower. The Huffington Post’s Nick Baumann explains that Austria’s Freedom Party was founded by former Nazi officials and now stands for “this anti-foreigner and anti-Muslim sentiment that you see, frankly, all over,” and Foreign Policy’s Robbie Cramer reports that “The Freedom Party’s Moscow trip is just the latest in a growing trend of anti-establishment European parties from across the political spectrum forging ties with Russia. Fringe political parties from France, Hungary, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic, have been accused of cozying up to Russia in exchange for financing.” Is this, as No More Mister Nice Blog’s Steve M. warns, “the new world order – anti-Muslim white-supremacist parties in Europe and now America, plus Putin and Likud?”
