This week I phone-banked for the Hillary Clinton campaign. The target lists and script seemed to focus on urging likely Democratic supporters to vote, and that fits the recent polling data I’ve seen. Six weeks ago, when the question looked to be whether Clinton could win by double-digits, it might have made sense to target ‘soft’ Republicans. But it now looks as if this election, perhaps even more than 2012, will hinge on which party gets more of ‘their’ voters to the polls.
