Today Newsweek’s Kurt Eichenwald broke the blockbuster story of how the Trump Organization’s profit-driven ties to foreign governments would weigh into any foreign policy challenge Donald Trump might face were he elected. On CNN, Eichenwald offered several plausible foreign policy issues that would place Trump’s profit motive at odds with our national interest, and Hillary Clinton’s campaign unleashed a 20-question tweetstorm this afternoon. Are Eichenwald and the Washington Post’s David Fahrenthold schooling other reporters on how to uncover a real scandal?
