Tonight’s question, greetings, and banter here. (More)

Today Donald Trump called Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto “a friend” after their meeting in Mexico City, although many Mexicans were outraged that Peña Nieto – Mexico’s most unpopular president in decades – agreed to meet Trump, with one likening it to Neville Chamberlain’s meeting with Adolf Hitler in Munich. (Note: President Peña Nieto himself has compared Trump to Hitler and Benito Mussolini.) Alas, we may have only Trump’s word for what happened as he refused to charter a flight for reporters covering his campaign. The Washington Post’s Chris Cillizza explains why Trump thought the meeting was “a brilliant idea” (hint: ego) while Joshua Partlow, Robert Costa, and Sean Sullivan explain how this will set up Trump’s immigration speech tonight. Will Trump’s trip to Mexico change his stance on immigration reform, or his unpopularity with Hispanic voters?
