Tonight’s question, greetings, and banter here. (More)
Today the AP stove-piped a GOP smear, reporting that “experts” said Hillary Clinton’s email server may have compromised the names of covert CIA officers. But Media Matters for Americaβs Brendan Suen notes that only one of the three “experts” cited in the article truly believes that, and the AP report didn’t mention that this lone ‘expert’ was a George W. Bush appointee and is a major Republican donor. Meanwhile, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper spoke at an LGBT pride event, saying:
Here in the [intelligence community], we have the chance to lead by example. So I’ll say without equivocation … in IC facilities … you can use whatever restroom you feel comfortable and safe in.
Did you see that Californians will have two Democratic U.S. Senate candidates – and no Republican – on the November ballot?

Yes, having two Democratic candidates will mean intra-party arguments until November. It also means that Sen. Barbara Boxer will be replaced by a Democrat … and a woman of color:
Congratulations to the people of California! π
Thank you, James Clapper … and shame on you, Associated Press.
The AP has had a … knack … for not being critical of sourcing when it comes to Republicans talking about Democrats. To be honest, how a private e-mail server that more than likely was not hacked – unlike the official servers – could “compromise the identities” of any CIA officer is a stretch, to put it mildly.
I saw the news out of California, and I think it’s great. It shows just how far the Republicans have fallen since 2008. π
The AP is lax at researching what Republicans tell them. I also wouldn’t be surprised if their Monday election eve call wasn’t calculated to mess with Tuesday’s primary.
California is good for Democrats. I remember Pete Wilson. He sure left one heck of a legacy. I hope someday all the states trying to restrict abortion and eliminate Planned Parenthood feel the same kind of backlash.
Way to go Clapper.
AP is part of the, “lamestream media,” as that woman calls them…
