Welcome back to Tuesday’s Tale, a weekly feature where we collaborate to write a story. Previous Tuesday’s Tales include Fluzies and Nothin’. We follow the basic rules of the “Yes, And” improvisational game – accept everything written so far as part of the story, and add your own paragraph (or so) where the last addition left off – except you needn’t begin your addition with “Yes, and.” I’ll start the story….
“As Pryme Mynyster,” Fzyzyx continued, “I would increase funding for our Earth research program.”
Kvylyx rolled her eyestalks. “Just what we need. More paranoid Earthlings.”
“Has he not been following their election news?” Rdygyx asked.
“Apparently not,” Kvylyx replied.
“We need to know more about Earthlings,” Fzyzyx droned on. “For example, despite years of data, we still have no idea why they watch reality television.”
Kvylyx snorted. “One of the pressing questions of our time.”
“Right up there with why anyone eats vegemite,” Rdygyx said, nodding. “There’s no accounting for Earthling tastes.”
“Furthermore,” Fzyzyx announced, “as Pryme Mynyster, I will make sure you hear ‘Merry Blyznyx!’ in stores again.”
Kvylyx snorted again. “Now he’s just pandering to fundamentalist Blyznyans.”
“Maybe he has been watching Earthling election news,” Rdygyx mused.
