Tonight’s question, greetings, and banter here. (More)

T’was the night before primary in the Granite State,
The candidates grinned as if looking for dates.
Babies were kissed on the forehead with care,
In hopes that their parents votes would be there.
Promises flowed over rallies galore,
Zingers and gotchas and oopses and more.
Eager fans listened and nodded and tweeted.
Campaign staffs bubbled up tales of “They cheated!”
Reporters were fed and spewed out expectations,
But why is New Hampshire “the first in the nation?”

(With apologies to the memory of Clement Clarke Moore)
