Today the Wall Street Journal attacked Bernie Sanders, claiming his proposals would cost $18 trillion. But both Sanders’ campaign and Paul Waldman say $15 trillion of that assumes Sanders will propose single-payer health care, and the rest is money we already spend in other ways. And Steve M. notes that the entire right wing went after Sanders today, with Powerline resorting to literal poo-flinging. Even the Washington Post Editorial Board parroted the Journal’s made-up numbers. Should we judge Sanders’ proposals by his enemies?
