Today the South Carolina House followed the state senate in voting to remove the Confederate Flag from the capitol grounds. But in a late-night twist, U.S. House Republicans reversed Tuesday’s vote and blocked a spending bill for the Department of Interior rather than vote to prohibit the Confederate Flag at federal cemeteries and national parks. And Matthew Yglesias dissected GOP WHannabe Jeb Bush’s call for Americans to work longer hours. Was that, in Josh Marshall’s phrase, “something you say about work when it’s something other people do?”
