Today Amazon joined Walmart and eBay in no longer selling Confederate flag merchandise, and a major U.S. flag maker will no longer produce the flags. This comes as Mississippi legislators debate changing their state flag, as Govs. Terry McAuliffe (D-VA) and Bill Haslam (R-TN) propose ending Confederate flag license plates, and Tennessee legislators ponder removing the bust of KKK founder Nathan Bedford Forrest from the statehouse. The Sons of Confederate Veterans are fighting back, but are we finally accepting that the Civil War was about slavery?
