“Hi honey!” Elizabeth said as she walked in. “What’s for dinner?”

“We’re discussing it,” Linda said. “I want to make Chicken Alfredo. The kitchen wants to make Italian sausage sandwiches.” (More)

Midday Matinee is our people watching, people doing and people being feature. Join the Woodland Creatures for an afternoon break.

Welcome back to Tuesday’s Tale, a weekly feature where we collaborate to write a story. Previous Tuesday’s Tales include Coffeenated and W’Erin the Green. “We vote for the Italian sausage sandwiches,” Elizabeth’s phone said.

“She meant me too,” Linda’s phone added.

“The thing is,” Linda said, “you don’t eat. We do.”

“She meant me too,” Elizabeth added.

“And boiling water for pasta makes more work for me,” the dehumidifier added.

Elizabeth joined Linda at the table. “Maybe we should just order pizza.”

“You can’t,” Linda’s phone said. “We’re busy.”

“She meant me too,” Elizabeth’s phone purred.
