The vegan cleanse was really a pretty easy accommodation. No dairy, no gluten, no meat, no caffeine, no sugar. Eating this way one learns quickly that rice is your friend. Rice and beans may be your best friend. Gluten free stuff is available in the grocery stores. After eating this way many of my sister’s food issues disappeared and she could reintroduce things and watch for the effects. I could still eat my cheese, my morning eggs, and 12 grain breads without compromising what she ate. I prefer vegetables and she is more of a fruit person. We are eating very healthy.
All our reading and paying attention to what we are eating is a fine thing. It is like everyone is doing something with what they eat these days. when I read this post on Facebook it illustrated just how far we can go.

If you were here I’d share a bowl of fresh vegetable soup. That is what’s for dinner.
