Today the media reacted to NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams’ apology for lying about taking RPG fire while reporting in Iraq. CNN Money’s Tom Kludt and Brian Stelter detail how Williams’ story evolved, while the National Review’s Brendan Bordelon summarizes the right wing outrage and the Washington Post’s Erik Wemple and the Baltimore Sun’s David Zurawik question the credibility of NBC News as an whole. This comes 10 days after PolitiFact found that 61% of Fox News claims are “Mostly False” or worse. Is that timing mere coincidence?
