Today at least 12 people died as gunmen attacked the French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo. French media report the attackers have been identified but their names have not yet been released. The newspaper published cartoons that criticized Islam and staffers say the gunmen claimed to be Al Qaeda. Also, the FBI are investigating a bombing at the Colorado Springs office of the NAACP, and witnesses described the bomber as a balding white man, about 40 years old, but neither the FBI nor the media have yet called it terrorism. Why the different treatment?
