Santa looked at his list. “Umm, it says here these Penny Princess pajamas, size 4T, are for 17-year-old Buck Studley.”
“Maybe he’s really small for his age?” Elforeman asked. (More)
Midday Matinee is our people watching, people doing and people being feature. Join the Woodland Creatures for an afternoon break.
Welcome back to Tuesday’s Tale, a weekly feature where we collaborate to write a story. Previous Tuesday’s Tales include Minnie Claus and Little Plow and the Christmas Tree. “Yep.” Elforeman looked over Santa’s shoulder. “She was three. This year she’s getting the … umm … Disaster Blaster video game, rated T for Teen.”
“And what’s this?” Santa asked, scrolling down further. “Timmy Wells is getting the Junior Engineer Science Kit? Didn’t he get hockey skates last year? His sister Tammy got the 1001 Experiments Chemistry Lab. And this year she’s getting season tickets to the Butte Bruisers?”
Elforeman swallowed. “Well, we did install Workshop 2.1 last month.”
“That’s not supposed to be out until January,” Santa said.
“It’s the … uhh … beta test version,” Elforeman replied.
Santa shook his head. “Just look at this. The Tawlings’ dog Bowser is getting a catnip mouse!”
Elfoperator raised her hand. “I checked on that one, sir. Misty Tawlings said Bowser ignores his toys and plays with the cat’s stuff.”
“And how old is Misty?” Santa asked.
Elfoperator looked at her screen. “Err … five?”
