Welcome back to Tuesday’s Tale, a weekly feature where we collaborate to write a story. Previous Tuesday’s Tales include Fore! and Tropical Storm Coochiecoo. We follow the basic rules of the “Yes, And” improvisational game – accept everything written so far as part of the story, and add your own paragraph (or so) where the last addition left off – except you needn’t begin your addition with “Yes, and.” I’ll start the story….
“What’d I do?” Mixer asked.
“Oh, nothing,” Little Plow said. “Except put Bucket out of work.”
Bucket sleepily lifted its handle. “Huh?”
“The Big Guy is working on his garden enclosure,” Little Plow said. “He’s going to need concrete. But apparently you won’t get the job.”
“I still have concrete specks from when he set the mailbox,” Bucket said, looking down into its not-very-depths. “They itch.”
“It does itch,” Mixer agreed. “That’s why I have a liner to protect my skin.”
“Aww,” Komatsu said. “I bet the Big Guy would get Bucket a liner if we asked. He got me a new hat. It’s fluffy and soft.”
Little Plow snorted. “That’s a seat cover.”
