This week I attended the steering committee meeting of my local Democratic Executive Committee. We heard reports on our vote by mail enrollment drive. Over the past month, significantly more Democrats than Republicans have signed up to vote by mail, so our enrollment drive is working. Voting by mail has already begun for our August 26th primary, and so far slightly more Democrats than Republicans have cast ballots. I also reported too the committee on the results of our county citizen survey, which I discussed here two weeks ago. For the next two weeks our efforts will be focused on continuing to enroll by-mail voters and turning out primary voters. Then we’ll shift to general election mode, canvassing and phone banking to turn out Democratic voters for November.
