Today word spread that federal trial judge Richard Kopf thinks the U.S. Supreme Court should “shut the f– up.” Judge Kopf, with whom we pointedly disagreed back in March, thinks the high court could and should have refused to hear the Hobby Lobby case, and instead let HHS and Congress work out a solution. Needless to say, readers at the National Review are outraged. But Al Jazeera America reports that Guantanamo detainees are now seeking RFRA exemptions for Ramadan. Will the right defend Muslim detainees’ religious freedom?
