Today The New Republic’s Alec MacGillis reported on “The Unelectable Whiteness of Scott Walker,” based on a detailed report on the toxic racial politics of Milwaukee by the Journal-Sentinel’s Craig Gilbert. The Washington Monthly’s Ed Kilgore captures the gist: that Gov. Walker is “a plodding career pol” who echoes the “white suburban resentment of Milwaukee,” while Eric Loomis focuses on Gov.
