Today a gunman killed a student and wounded at least one other person at Reynolds High School in Troutdale, Oregon. Police said the gunman is dead but have not yet revealed whether he shot himself or was shot by police. The Maddow Blog’s Steve Benen notes that this is the fifth such shooting in 15 days, and New York Magazine’s Joe Coscarelli reports this was the 74th school shooting since Sandy Hook in December 2012.
