Today Target announced they will no longer offer health insurance to part-time employees and will instead direct them to the ACA’s individual exchanges. The National Review framed it “another” American business dropping health benefits “because of Obamacare,” while American Thinker emphasized Target “dumping their administrative costs onto the taxpayer funded exchanges.” But Target emphasized that part-time employees can find better coverage at lower cost through the ACA. Will the ACA’s exchanges replace employer-based health insurance?
