Today the Washington Post’s Philip Rucker reported that President Obama said “I am not a particularly ideological person.” The right wing immediately reacted: Townhall’s Katie Pavlich declared the president “a hard and bitter partisan,” PJ Tattler’s Bryan Preston called him “sharply ideological,”, and Twitchy responses of “snort-worthy” and “howler.” But the Washington Post’s Chris Cillizza looked for data and found political scientists score Obama the least ideological president since World War II. Is “farther from today’s conservatives” the same as “more liberal?”
