Tonight’s question, greetings, and banter here. (More)
Today on Press Of The Week News Secretary of State John Kerry was unfazed by news that initial nuclear talks with Iran failed this weekend, saying “We’re not in a rush. […] No deal is better than a bad deal.” Yet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned even talking with Iran, saying “There’s a broad feeling here that Iran might hit the jackpot here,” and Sen Bob Corker (R-TN) worried the U.S. might “deal away” leverage over Tehran. And Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) put in an appearance on Twitter. Was his makeup artist unavailable?

I think he was bumped in the bookings by the stampede to show how CBS had screwed up with the Benghazi story. Tsk.
Frankly, I could care less what Prime Minister Netanyahu says about Iran. Israel wants the U.S. at war in the Middle East. Syria didn’t work out so they’re back to banging the drum for war with Iran.
I’m also not worried that France, rather than the U.S., voiced the objection to Iran’s proposal. I realize that violates the sanctity of American Exceptionalism, but there ya go.
As for why Sen. McCain was tweeting rather than being on TV … all I can figure is that either his makeup artist was unavailable or his chair was at the upholstery cleaners….
Sen. McCain was tweeting because his aide could do it for him. That is my story and I am sticking with it.
I just feel sorry for Cindy McCain. She lost her Sunday mornings again. 🙂
