Today Michael Lind wrote that the Affordable Care Act may ultimately benefit conservatives by building political support for subsidized, means-tested, private sector forms of Social Security and Medicare. While Atrios agreed, Ed Kilgore notes that Lind relies on a false dichotomy and many progressive programs share many of the ACA’s features. Also, Jonathan Cohn broke down the right wing scare stories about “sticker shock,” and Dylan Scott saw why Kentucky’s KYNect works so well.
