Today President Obama nominated Victoria Nuland, the State Department veteran who requested edits to the administration’s talking points after the Benghazi attacks, for a promotion in the department. Senators Lindsey Graham and John McCain promptly praised Nuland’s “long and distinguished record of service.” Yet this week Sens. Graham and McCain continued to criticize U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice, who presented those edited talking points on the Sunday after the Benghazi attack. Do foolish little hobgoblins mind consistency?
