Today’s strong jobs report – with unemployment down to 7.8% while workforce participation climbed – is good news for American families. It’s also good news for the Obama campaign, as Nate Silver’s fundamentals model now favors the president. So of course Republicans disagree with the data, with former GE CEO Jack Welch and other conservatives claiming President Obama fixed the numbers. Their claims are absurd, and the jobs report fits other recent data. Will booing good news for hard-working families help Republicans sway undecided voters?
