As the Squirrel noted at the time, Mitt Romney set a new flip-flop record in this morning’s NBC/Facebook Republican presidential candidate’s debate. Challenged by Newt Gingrich about Super-PAC ads, Romney first claimed he hadn’t seen them, then quoted from one. On MSNBC afterward, Romney spokesman John Sununu said Romney hadn’t seen the ads, but had read about them. Then Romney spokesman Eric Ferhnstrom admitted that Romney had seen that one ad. Is the “independent” part of Super-PAC ads a charade?
