That leaves the resident faculty using a louder paging system to call Will Power to the blue courtesy phone, as they made their way from the wine cellar library where they spent the weekend drinking thinking on our motto of Magis vinum, magis verum (“More wine, more truth”) to the hot tub faculty lounge for their weekly game where the underwear goes flying planning conference.

The staff doubted that replacing the soup cans on a string with a coffee cans on a rope would create a louder paging system. To our surprise, it was louder, although the BPI Fizzix Department said that was probably because the resident faculty could find only ten feet of rope and were outside the mail room door when they yelled into their coffee can. So much for better technology at BPI.

Regardless, we think the resident faculty intend to discuss this week what they planned to but did not discuss last week: whether and how willpower can be seen a limited resource with limited utility, and what that concept implies for progressive government.

Happy Monday!
