Tonight’s Campus Question
In response to President Obama’s “Buffett Rule” that millionaires should not pay a lower federal income tax rate than middle class Americans, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has been banging the “class warfare” drum and saying he is in the middle class. Yet Romney’s multi-million-dollar income is mostly from investments, and he pays an estimated 14% federal income tax. Will President Obama have more success by calling his proposal the “Romney Rule?”
