Chicago Tribune columnist Steve Chapman says President Obama should withdraw from the 2012 race now, because he’s doomed to defeat and will drag other Democratic candidates down with him. Fortunately, Chapman says, there’s an alternative candidate who could rally Democrats to win: Hillary Clinton. President Obama won 89% of the Democratic vote in 2008. Will die-hard Clinton supporters and other disaffected Democrats affect President Obama’s reelection chances in 2012?
