The Wisconsin Government Accountability Board (GAB) which is responsible for elections in Wisconsin, certified recall petitions against three Democratic state senators despite clear evidence of fraud in the signature gathering process. The GAB claimed that throwing out entire petitions when fraud is discovered on some signatures would “disenfranchise” valid signatures. Should concerns about disenfranchisement override concerns about fraud?
