At our monthly Democratic Party meeting, we phone-banked for our state and local candidates. This week kicks we begin the chase, the phase of voter outreach where we call registered Democrats who vote-by-mail to ensure they received ballots and to encourage them to vote. After that we move into early voter and election day GOTV, calling to ask if our voters need directions, transportation, or other assistance.

Research shows that voter outreach in the last month before an election is the most effective, as those who commit now are more likely to vote. If you’ve already been active, now is the time to redouble your efforts. And if not, now is the time to contact your local Democratic Party office, a local candidate, or Organizing For America and volunteer to help.
