Today’s output from Blogistan Polytechnic Institute’s state-of-the-art HEMMED (High-Energy Meta Mojo Elucidation Detector) machine is more like an order than anything else.

The Summer Solstice was on June 21. Since then we have lost 10 minutes of daylight. By the end of July we will have lost 45 minutes of daylight. By the end of August we will have lost nearly 2 hours of daylight…one in the morning and one in the evening.

Depressed yet? Don’t be!!! The ebb and flow of daylight is a cycle and on December 21st the light will start coming back again. Sorry. That probably didn’t help.

It is not too late to enjoy the summer and the daylight.

Here is the “order”. I am going to make it a standing order for the rest of the summer.

Set your keyboard aside and get outside and do some things:

1. Take a walk with your family
2. Ride your bike
3. Kick a soccer ball around in the park
4. Play catch with your kids

One more thing I forgot to mention…these guys will try to make it hard to enjoy the outside. Just ignore them:

Happy Saturday to everyone! And fist bumps.
